HR must have a strong understanding of the company, the products, its customers and services and the end-to-end processes. Without this HR can't provide solutions that fit the business.
HR must build trust based relationships. Role modelling clear, uncomplicated communication and being the voice of reason. Concurrently, HR must be the voice of the employee to the leadership, whilst supporting the organisations leadership in making the best possible leadership decisions.
HR must be involved in setting the strategic direction of the company to ensure the company has the right human capital required to achieve these goals.
HR is also in a unique position to support the development of the organisational design to enable the business reach its goals.
